1. Near a mountain and by a river: mountain and river are important to good Feng Shui. A cemetery surrounded on three sides by mountains in the shape of U is an excellent pattern in Feng Shui theory. 5. In bright sunshine: tombs belong to Yin in Feng Shui. If the cemetery is located at somewhere without any sunshine, the owner's family just cannot prosper. If the cemetery is in bright sunshine from morning to 1:30 p.m., the energy field around it will have a balanced Yin and Yang.
6. South-facing: a good tomb always faces south, southeast or somewhere between south and southeast.
7. Boundary available: an auspicious cemetery is often larger than one square meter and has boundary lines in right triangle. The boundary lines are quite essential because no boundary means potential disputes with other people.
