Why would any snake whatever their lunar month best match be 'Tiger'?

Love this site, but struggling to understand why a boy snake born in Chinese lunar month June best match would be with a tiger - I'm guessing that means year of the tiger - as I thought they are two signs that really don't get on? would you be able to explain that a bit more in detail? The description of 'doesn't stop moving' is bang on for the Chinese June month snake I am thinking of!!
