protecting my home from rebuilding a road that runs along south side of my home

We have a dirt road that runs alongside our home in the south. It is about to be repaired for 2 days with heavy machinery and loud noises!!!! With the 5 star in the sth west I am needing help to protect my home please. I have a feng shui chime hanging outside in the sth west, I have my salt cures in place and pi yao all in the south/southwest window. This road is only 10m from the side of our home. I have experienced very bad results from upsetting the 5 star several years ago and I don't want it to happen again. I am desperate for advice please, asap. I am in Australia on the East Coast. I also have very large Foo Dogs guarding my front door which again is in the sth west but we are avoiding using it this year. Can I use certain colours, more salt? I would be very grateful for any advice. Many thanks, Ingrid
Also, to avoid the bad effect of loud noises, you need to close the window during these two days.
